How much does a hunt cost?
You can choose from our all inclusive packages or build your own package a la carte at the following daily rates:
US$ 450/ day for 1 hunter with 1 Professional Hunter
US$ 375/ day per hunter for 2 hunters with 1 Professional Hunter
Obeservers daily rate at US$275/ day. Hunting packages start at US$5 250.
What's included and excluded?
INCLUDED:
SA licenses, permits and concession fees, lodge accommodation, WiFi, all meals and drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks), PH, trackers and skinners, hunting vehicle, daily laundry and government taxes.
EXCLUDED:
Flights, travel and accommodation before and after the safari, taxidermy, trophy shipping, gratuities and wounded-and-lost animals. There is also an optional US$10/animal donation to the PHASA Foundation.
How do I book and pay?
Get an estimate quote on our build your safari page or email info@sun-africa.co.za. A US$2000 deposit confirms your dates, and the balance is due at least 2 months before arrival. Updated invoice balance due end of hunt. Wire transfers is preferred and has no surcharge. Visa and Mastercard carry a surcharge of 3,5%. Cash is accepted. No Amex and no personal cheques.
Cancellations?
Deposits are non-refundable. Hunt can be postponed to another year and deposit will be honored.
Can I add animals during the hunt?
Yes, at current trophy fees.
Unrecovered and wounded animals policy?
You pay the full trophy fee.
Which airport should I fly into?
The recommended airport is Johannesburg O.R Tambo and from there on into Port Elizabeth Airport where the Sun Africa team will pick you up. You can also fly into Cape Town International Airport.
Can I bring my own rifle?
Absolutely! Rifles need to be imported into South Africa on a Temporary import permit which you can pre apply for months before your hunt. Please get in touch with us if you would like to start the process. One of our client coordinators will help you and your fellow hunters every step of the way through this easy process.
You are also welcome to hire Sun Africa's rifles at a rate of US$250 per hunter and ammo at cost.
Is there WiFi?
There is signal in most hunting areas, and the main lodge has WiFi signal.

What activities is there to do for non-hunters or beyond the hunt?
Sun Africa Safaris also caters to non-hunters, offering visits to our local town and surrounding national parks, with plenty of activities and sights for the whole family to enjoy.
